She is here. Born on July 26, 2010 at 12:25 pm. 6 pounds, 11 ounces and 19 inches long. Such a cute girl. Ashley, Lincoln and Sam just love her. So nice of Grandma Char to take them to her house for a week while Abby and I get settled!! Thank you, Mom. I love you. We love our little Abby and we are so priveledged to welcome her into our family.

Hawaii!!

Jon and I were lucky enough to go to Hawaii with my mom and dad for a week. We had such an amazing, relaxing time. And we were lucky enough to have a loving Grandma Marilyn come and watch our kids for the entire time! So, we did some surfing, snorkeling, eating and relaxing. We even got to visit some Man vs. Food sights. And, since our tenth anniversary is next month, we felt we deserved to have a good time. Here are some of our pictures.

It's always nice to return to smiling faces at the end of the trip. We had an awesome time!!

Sam pooped on the potty today!! I can't believe it! I bought him a potty chair and put it in the bathroom 3-4 days ago. Yesterday he brought it out to sit on and play with his toys. Last night he took off his clothes and sat on it for 15 minutes or so while we cheered for him. Today, he did the same thing, except he started clapping once and told us to come and look. Having done this many times, I just said good job, Sam. Ashley went and looked and he had pooped in it!! Whoa. It was quite amazing compared to trying to get Ashley and Lincoln to do that for the first time. Now I don't know what to do! I didn't really want to start training him until we got back from Hawaii... Maybe this no pressure potty training is a good thing. :)

I never get pictures of them in their church clothes and looking cute. Today it worked! Even Ginger has her dress on. If they were only sitting closer together... I'll take what I can get.

Ashley recently drew a picture for an art compitition at her school. She earned an honerable mention medal. She was pretty excited. When we get her picture back, we'll post it. (It's on the table in the picture, but you can't see it)

Happy Halloween! The kids had a lot of fun looking forward to this day. Sam finally liked his costume halloween night. Ashley went as a USC cheerleader, Lincoln as a knight, and Sam as a dog.

Sam has officially taken over Ginger's bed!

So, Ash and Linc got to go to a Real Salt Lake game with me. It was very fun. They were amazed at the size of the stadium and how far they could kick the ball. And, they loved the music they play when Real scores. :)

So, 68 days ago or so Ashley asked Jon when we could get a puppy. He said in 68 days we will get a puppy. Wow! A firm commitment from dad! She counted out 68 days and put it on the calendar. Well, here we are, with little Ginger. She is 8 weeks old and a Mini Schnauzer. She will grow to 12-15 lbs.She is super fun and cute. I found kAsley up early yesterday reading Ginger books with blankets all around her. Lincoln runs around and gets her to chase him. And Sam calls her "puttee" and always know where she is. He tries to wrap her in his blanket. I must admit, she is very fun (even with the 2 am whine to go outside to do her business). Lincoln told a lady at Jon's work her name is "Ginger Bread Pocock". He is always full of fun comments.

We had a great summer!!

We were able to spend over a month in CA living with Jon's parents and 3 weeks with my parents. This allowed for a lot of fun and activities as well as getting to know cousins really well. We had a blast. We are now into our home in Sandy have only our memories and pictures of the great times we had.

Here is Ashley in her first ballet performance of Swan Lake at Kingsbury Hall on April 8, 2009. She was so excited for this performance and had so much fun with rehearsals and the production itself (even if she was only on stage for 10 minutes!). She played the part of a baby swan. It was fun to see my little Ashly grow up and be so confident on stage.

Mom as the silver bullet going head first down the hill. This was her last run of many. Unfortunatly, Dad hurt his shoulder a few days earlier. He took one run with a big jump. Then he was convinced he needed a rubber pad to go down on. :)

Sam was blindfolded most of the time. No wonder he didn't complain much!

Yes, that is a pink binki... Serious times call for serious substitutions.

The week of Thanksgiving

We had soo much fun in California with Grandpa Gene and Grandma Marilyn. It was also fun to see Julie and Tom and Christie, Rick and their kids Riley, Logan and McKenna. We also saw Dennis and some old friends. It really was such a nice week.

Here we are at Disneyland. Ash and Linc loved it, even Sam had fun. It's a kids paradise. We went with Grandma, Grandpa, Christie, Logan, McKenna, Julie, and Tom. We had a blast! And yes, Grandma LOVED the roller costers.

Here we are at the Long beach Aquarium. We saw so many fish, seals, large sharks, and petted some stingrays.

And then we went for a boat ride around the harbor. We saw some seals hanging our on a buoy. Ashley had to have her picture taken with them... :)

Tri Results

Yes, Jen, Mom and I had a great time. And we did well in the race. Jen finished 3rd in her age division and 17th overall. Her time was 51 minutes. She did great and will receive a medal! Not bad her first race. She swam 200 yards (8 lengths), biked 5 miles and ran 1.5 miles. I finished 7th in my age division and 21st overall. My time was 1:22. I swam 400 yards (16 lengths), biked 10 miles and ran 3 miles. It really was a lot of fun. It was fun to hear the comments of those around us. I was standing next to a girl (doing the sprint or "short" tri, same as me) who saw a guy going to the front of the line and she said "He better not be cutting in line!" She was a little intense with her sports bra and little shorts and belly button ring in 40 degree weather :). Another girl warned me not to step over the wire early. Last year someone did this and lost 20... SECONDS off her time!! I thought she was going to say 20 minutes. :) It was pretty funny. Back with Jen it was a little lighter atmosphere with those around her saying "you go first. No, you go first". Anyway, a lot of fun. Halloween!!

We had a very fun Halloween. It began with Ashley and Lincoln having programs at school. It's fun to hear their little songs and see the actions. Sam, as you can see below was a little tired of them. We then headed over to Foothill village to go trick-or-treating at the stores. They had a blast with friends and being able to see so many different costumes. We then went around our neighborhood, then headed up to my parents house for some more fun. Sam has the treats figured out. He hung onto his bucket very tightly and grabbed the candy anytime it was added. A very fun and exciting Halloween!

Lincoln was just a little tired... :)

Soccer!

Soccer is over until April. The great thing is Ashley scored two goals in her last game! These were her 1st goals. She was estatic, as was I :). Lincoln also scored 2 goals this season. They are both starting to get what soccer is about and now looking for the ball. Lincoln is funny, though. Sometimes he just goes in and pushes kids around with his hands and doesn't chase the ball... We will have to work on that. (I'm sure the other parents don't think it's funny :0)

Sorry for the lack of journaling. I can only do so much with my kids up and about. The rock climbing pictures were taken over UEA weekend in St. George. It was the first time we took Ashley and Lincoln climbing. They had a good time and keep asking when we will be going again. Hopefully with time Jon and I will also be able to climb, but we know that is a long way off...

He's getting more independent, sleeping through the night (well, at least until 5:30 or 6), and done nursing. What a big boy!!

It's Soccer Time!!

Ashley and Lincoln are on the same team this year and I'm the coach! It's been fun so far. This is a neighborhood team we put together , so they love being with their friends. Below Lincoln took charge of passing out the oranges. He's a doer.

Ashley and the Little Leopards!

Ashley had a great time cheering with the Little Leopards at a football game. She had 1 week of practices at East High School and then the game. Her favorite part was seeing Sharpee's locker at East High School (it's pink!!) .

Ashley has lost 2 teeth and has 4 molars coming in!! She has found she really likes the tooth fairy. She wished she saw the tooth fairy like Lincoln did. He says she was so tiny and flew like a little fly...
